Was it just me , or was it just so hard waking up for work after the long Raya weekend ?
To commemorate the end of the day ,we decided on a quick catch up.
Roads are still fairly empty , took me 15 minutes to reach Bangsar Shopping Centre and even managed a legal parking outside .#noneedforinflatedparkingrates
Four levels up, new wing , same floor as Jungle Gym (for all you parents out there )
Walked into a very spacious lobby ,then escorted into a huge dining hall , via doors of what looked like an elevator door . Followed by a walk down the elevated red carpet walkway. This dining hall is available for rent , for glam events , I guess.
The bar ‘s situated on the left corner of the hall.Bar stools arranged neatly by the bar , ready for our Omakase cocktail tasting .
Weekly cocktail tastings happen every Monday’s paired with bar snacks to compliment the specific drinks .Apparently cocktails change every week .Pretty cool , eh? I thought the price was pretty reasonable too @ Rm 50++ for 3 drinks paired with snacks.Eight slots available every Monday .Ideal for a girly catch up.
We started with a vodka cocktail with fresh strawberry purée , egg white and lime I think .Very refreshing and not overly sweet.Made just right for a starter drink . Paired with salted egg chips , that we walloped in minutes .
Our second drink was gin based , mango and lychee.A little more thick in consistency , again with real mangoes blended . Paired with fried kangkung and garnished with chilli strips like how it’s made in Thai restaurants but with a twist .Sweet chill sauce added a punch to it .
Then dessert .Espresso martini with 2 scoops of chocolate drizzled vanilla ice cream on the side .This had a strong coffee bean aroma.I had a few sips then refrained myself .I knew if I had any more, it would be a night of disaster .( it’s 3 am by the way , and I am wide awake 🙄).Thanks espresso !
We were rather curious , and ordered two tapas from the menu .One hot chick ( Szechuan popcorn chicken ) and the other was Rojak King .Both tasted amazing . We couldn’t finish it ,especially after the bar snacks earlier and managed to “ta-pau ” it for supper later .
I must come back for a meal .A proper meal .Very unique fusion menu .With the little that we tasted , it didn’t disappoint .
Prices are on the high side, guessing because of location and the grandeur of the place itself.
Will be back for sure .
